[Libs-Or] Potential conference panel - library disasters

Hi folks,

Has your library recently dealt with a disaster in your building that required clean up, dealing with insurance, etc.? A flood, a fire, or something similar?

About a year and a half ago, we had a plumbing disaster at Driftwood that led to loss of part of our collection, and required dealing with professional clean up and insurance. It occurred to me recently that a panel of directors/staff describing similar experiences and sharing "what I wish I'd known" could be super helpful for other library staff in preparing for the worst.

If you'd be interested in partnering with me on such a panel, please send me an email! Since I have a blessed situation where our Buildings department handled a great deal of the communication with our insurance company, it would be especially helpful to have one or more directors who had to handle the clean up and communication on their own.
