Hi everyone!!

Hillsboro Public Library is happy to announce the launch of our FT Events and Outreach Coordinator recruitment. We are seeking an individual who is eager to serve the community and work with library programming staff to develop and implement popular library programs.

What You'll Do:

The Events and Outreach Coordinator will work with staff, vendors, and community partners in program planning and development to ensure events are inclusive, relevant, and reflective of the library's values. Primary duties include reviewing program proposals from staff and outside vendors, coordinate logistics, and work with marketing team to promote events. And while the role involves occasional facilitation, the primary focus is on event planning and management.

This position will work to gather and use program data to demonstrate the library's impact and elevate its profile in the community. The anticipated schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with occasional evening events.

Key Responsibilities:

  *   Program and Event Development: Collaborate with staff to design events that align with the library's mission and engage diverse audiences.

  *   Vendor and Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors, speakers, and facilitators to ensure smooth event execution.

  *   Logistics and Budget Management: Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, budgeting, and scheduling.

  *   Marketing and Promotion: Work with the Marketing team to create promotional materials and event guides to attract participation.

  *   On-Site Event Management: Supervise event setup, staff, and volunteers to ensure successful events.
