*ACRL-OR/WA Joint Fall Conference "New Connections" Conference Poster Call
for Academic Library Student Workers in the Portland Metro Area is Open!
(Closes 9/16) *

We are now accepting proposals for our Academic Library Student Worker
lunchtime poster session at our Joint Fall Conference! If you supervise or
know student workers in an academic library or academic library adjacent
space in the Portland Metro area, please encourage them to submit a poster
proposal! If you are outside the Portland Metro Area and your students
would like to participate they are more than welcome to, however we cannot
accommodate any travel or housing requests.  More information on our

AI Forward in PNW Academic Libraries: An Orbis Cascade Alliance Unconference

Orbis Cascade Alliance members attending the ACRL-OR/WA Joint Conference
may also be interested in attending The AI Forward in PNW Academic
Libraries: An Orbis Cascade Alliance Unconference scheduled for October 24,
2024 (the day before the joint conference!) from 9:30am - 3:30pm on the
University of Oregon NE Portland campus. This unconference is a free
one-day in-person opportunity for academic librarians in the Alliance to
explore and discover possible intersections and impacts of AI and
generative AI with academic library resources, services, and operations.



This event is co-hosted by Seattle University Library and Seattle Pacific
University Library and supported by the John F. Helmer Professional
Development Award
