Hello, The library is parting with this sculpture, please let me know if
your organization has any interest and feel free to share with other
non-profits, schools or jurisditions.

Elsie dimensions: Entire piece is 96" long, 48" wide, and 55" high.
Here is some background information on Elsie:

Kows for Kids on Parade was a city-wide event that helped raise $2 million
for homeless youth services. Elsie is one of a hundred fiberglass cows that
were displayed throughout Portland in the spring of 2002 and then later
auctioned.

Elsie (the cow) is kneeling on a box painted to look something like grass
while she reads from an open book that is entitled "Education". Her head,
horns and upper body are painted to look like the sky, while the rest of
her body and legs depict hills and fields. Her body also is painted with
quotations re censorship, books and others. Two more books are waiting on
the grass. Robert Marchant built the book Elsie is reading, the pages of
which are from Nature and Culture by Hamilton Mabie, published in 1898.

Entire piece is 96" long, 48" wide, and 55" high.
Credits:
Donated by Max and Suzanne Millis after they purchased it for $30,000.00 at
the 2002 Kows for Kids auction. They also sponsored Elsie's creation.
