 *ACRL-Oregon Solicits Nominations for the 2024-25 Award for Excellence*
Do you know of a project in Oregon academic libraries that has had an
impact on its community? Did you personally work on a project that has had
an impact on a community or communities? If so, consider nominating the
project for the 2024-2025 ACRL-Oregon Award for Excellence. Self
nominations are supported and encouraged!

What does the award acknowledge?
The ACRL-Oregon Award for Excellence shall be given to recognize a project
that demonstrates excellence in the field by significantly improving Oregon
academic libraries or librarianship.
Who is eligible?

   - Any individual or group in Oregon may apply or be nominated.
   Individuals or groups that include at least one employee of an academic
   library are given priority consideration.
   - Initiative or project that is the basis of the nomination must have
   occurred in the previous three years (2023-present).
   - This is not a lifetime achievement award.
   - ACRL-Oregon membership is NOT required.
   - Nominee or nominated group may include a member of the ACRL-Oregon
   Board; however they must recuse themselves from the voting process.

What does the award cover?

   - An engraved plaque
   - Recognition at the 2025 OLA Conference
   - A stipend of up to $150 to assist with defraying the cost of the next
   ACRL-OR conference registration

How will nominations be evaluated?
Nominations will be evaluated for the following:

   - Impact or potential impact on Oregon academic libraries,
   librarianship, or library community
   - Ability of project to be adapted by others
   - Project has been or will be assessed
   - Project connects to the ACRL-OR Mission:

*ACRL-Oregon seeks to support academic libraries and librarians; to foster
communication among academic librarians; to promote the development of
Oregon academic libraries; to sponsor educational programs of interest to
academic librarians; and to serve as liaison between academic librarians
and various other academic and library constituencies. *
