ONLINE CONFERENCES:
Wednesday, April 16, 9:30a – 3:30p PT: eBook Summit<https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/NdjPuSWXT1ewOLXmzf8r2A#/registration> (California State Library)
This event is open to all, not just California, and will cover a variety of topics that concern the eBook ecosystem as a whole. There will be conversations about California’s Freedom to Read Act, but aside from that, the summit will be largely about how libraries are operating in the eBook space.
Attend the summit to:
· Hear from multiple eBook vendors (Palace, Overdrive, etc.) about challenges and opportunities ahead for library eBooks
· Find out what other states are doing with their statewide Palace platforms (Washington, New Jersey, Georgia)
· Learn about ILS integration with the Palace app
· Gain information about Palace collection development & acquisition of new publishers and content including Adult New Readers
· Hear about The California Freedom to Read Act (AB 1825) from its creator
· Ask the experts your long-simmering eBook questions
· And spend an enjoyable day with other eBook enthusiasts
