[Libs-Or] Additional Right to Be trainings

Good afternoon, all!
I have shared some of the Right to Be trainings via email and in my Welcoming Oregon Libraries monthly resources.<https://slo.oregon.gov/CommunityEngagement/WelcomingOregonLibraries> Not surprisingly, it sounds like they have had record turnouts for their bystander trainings on supporting immigrant communities. They have added additional trainings to their schedule<https://righttobe.org/upcoming-free-trainings/>, to include free conflict deescalation in protest spaces trainings.

These trainings are not just for library staff but can be shared with community members, as well. Please pass along the word to anyone you know who may be interested or could benefit from these free offerings. Dear Ericka,

You've changed the way we think about community these past few weeks. When we launched a series of Bystander Intervention to Support Immigrant Communities trainings<https://go.righttobe.org/e/966033/ort-immigrants-with-resources-/863ps/1070941595/h/bYkoiLv-plzjyHxI1b_5AfaRpIE1iAfcYYjVo0L7ONk>, we knew there was a demand for actionable strategies to support our immigrant neighbors across our country. But we didn't anticipate over 1k people who rolled into these trainings in January, and committed to learning bystander intervention strategies to support immigrant communities.

To those of you on the ground, we're listening and taking action based on your feedback. We've integrated SURGE methodology into our training, and we've popped up free Conflict De-Escalation in Protest Spaces training this month and next.

And you, our community, keep showing up. A volunteer artist reached out to share a zine with all of us, created after attending our training and aimed at amplifying our safety strategies. It's creative and simple actions like creating zines and sharing training registration links that keep our movement against hate fueled, because, against all odds, we continue to imagine safer communities.
