Advanced Gambling Counselor Certification
This four-part course provides 30 of 60 hours needed to meet all of the
educational requirements for the CGAC I credential. Topics covered
include: cultural competency, working with families of problem gamblers,
evidence-based and supported practice, and counselor self-care.

Dates: Saturdays, February 4, 18 and March 3, 17
Time: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: Lewis & Clark College
Instructor: Tom Ten Eyck, M.A., CDAC II, CGAC II
CEUs: 30 hours, $195. Morning coffee and pastries and lunch are included
in the course fee.

The Basic Mindfulness Toolkit
Participants will learn to use mindfulness to transform maladaptive
defenses (fight, flight, freeze/submit) into adaptive strategies (turn
towards, turn away, turn to rest) for coping. These three exercises
become a strategy in the Basic Mindfulness Toolkit, which can be easily
taught to clients and have an immediate impact on a broad range of
client diagnoses.

Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

CEUs: 6 hours, $125 by 1/27, $140 after. $40 for students.

15th Annual Columbia River Eating Disorder Network (CREDN) Conference:
"Rethinking Obesity: A Compassionate and Collaborative Approach to
Weight Concerns"
Conference presentations will offer fresh perspectives on obesity with
special emphasis on childhood obesity and clinical practice. Helping
without harming will be a major focus of the conference. We will also
