Addiction Professional Panel Series: Building a Recovery-Oriented System of Care
Recovery is not a compartmentalized process, but an ongoing journey with multiple care providers assisting along the way.  Employee assistance professionals, private - practice therapists, residential centers, interventionists, outpatient community resources, and many others have a profound impact on those in recovery.  Coordinating care between these providers can be difficult, but the Recovery - Oriented System of Care model, when implemented effectively, can provide people in recovery with wraparound services to help them maintain their sobriety.
Join Addiction Professional, for lunch and a panel discussion with experts from Portland and around the country, who will address how providers can better work together to support their clients' recovery.
Upon attending this course, participants will be able to:

  *   Understand The Recovery - Oriented System of Care model, and how it has shifted the focus of addiction treatment facilities from episodic care to ongoing recovery support
  *   Explain how treatment centers and the recovery community have established meaningful recovery support services, including community-based recovery centers, to help individuals gain important life skills and strengthen their long-term sobriety
  *   Demonstrate practical strategies to help treatment facilities and individual providers partner with recovery organizations to offer more extended support to patients
