RULEMAKING HEARING NOTICE

Please find attached a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Hearing and Statement of Need and Fiscal Impact.
Rule Caption: Modifies definitions, application procedure, inactive status, and supervised work experience requirements.
Rule Summary: The proposed amendment reorganizes and adds general definitions; makes various clarifying language and grammar housekeeping changes; makes some clarifying changes to the supervised work experience requirements; creates a retention period of three years for a residency supervisor's records and notes; adds a requirement that the residency supervisor notify the board within fourteen days of any significant interruption or expected termination of a resident supervision contract; modifies and adds definitions to the process for application review; updates the examination procedures; adds a clear definition of inactive status; specifies that a license will revert to inactive status if a licensee fails to pay the prorated reactivation fee in 30 days.
The Board requests public comment on whether the options should be considered for achieving the rule's substantive goals while reducing negative economic impact of the rule on business.  Please email your comments to laree.felton at state.or.us<mailto:laree.felton at state.or.us> or mail them to the Board's office at 3218 Pringle Road SE, Ste. 130, Salem, OR 97302.  All comments must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on September 23, 2013.
