Dear Licensees:

The Board is seeking applications for one upcoming psychologist Board member vacancy and two public member vacancies.

If you have ever considered public service, we encourage you to apply for a position on the Board. BOP welcomes diverse applicants who enjoy collaboration with colleagues and want to give back to the profession.

The mission of the Oregon Board of Psychology is to promote, preserve, and protect the public health and welfare of Oregonians by ensuring the ethical and legal practice of psychology. The Board meets for regular, full-day meetings roughly every other month, and members usually serve on committees and workgroups that meet every other month or on an ad-hoc basis. Although a lot of preparation is required for each regular meeting, serving on the Board is an enriching and rewarding experience. It is a unique opportunity to serve the profession and learn more about its regulation. To learn more about the Board, visit our website at: Oregon.gov/Psychology<https://www.oregon.gov/psychology/Pages/index.aspx>.

If you or someone you know are interested in serving on the Board, please go to the link below to review the materials and follow the instructions for completing the Interest Form. The Governor's boards and commissions reflect racial, gender, and geographic diversity, and Board membership is contingent on passage of a criminal background check. If you have any questions about Board membership, please contact Charles Hill, Executive Director at charles.j.hill at mhra.oregon.gov<mailto:charles.j.hill at mhra.oregon.gov>.
