FYI: 2004 Kindergarten Survey Report

Kindergarten teachers from Maupin, Roseburg, Klamath Falls, Beaverton,
Salem, and Woodburn met for a full day with Department staff from the
Office of Student Learning & Partnerships.  The focus of the meeting was
to review the Kindergarten Readiness to Learn Survey and to share
suggestions for efficiency of data collection and clarity of survey
content.

The teachers also learned more about other Department early childhood
efforts, such as the statewide observation assessment for preschoolers,
the preschool database, and the Ready Schools project.  Kindergarten
teachers were invited based on suggestions for participants offered by
the Oregon Education Association and the Ready Schools project.
