All ODE Telephone Numbers Set to Change

As we've been announcing in Pipeline. . .
On the evening of May 5th, the Oregon Department of Education will
convert its current phone system.  We are one of the last state agencies
to operate with an old-style central number and staff extensions.  We
will be converting to a direct dial system -- connecting directly to
staff and allowing for more accurate billing and tracking.  

Our main number will change to 503-947-5600, but the current ODE phone
number (503-378-3600) will continue to function.  Our receptionist will
route calls to the appropriate staff member at their new phone number.
We expect there may be some confusion, but we're confident disruptions
will be minor and short-lived.

On Monday morning, May 8th, we will do the following:
- Post an updated directory on the front page of the website
(http://www.ode.state.or.us) 
- Email an updated phone list to all superintendents, principals, and
other partners

Just remember, you can always reach us via e-mail (
