Public meeting to be held Tuesday on Columbia River sturgeon regulations
CLACKAMAS - The Oregon and Washington fish and wildlife departments will host a public meeting Tuesday, Nov. 11, to gain input on Columbia River sturgeon sport fishing regulations for 2004 and 2005.
Fishery managers from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will provide information on the current Columbia River sturgeon angling regulations, existing management plans and catch results from recent fishing seasons.
The staffs welcome input from members of the public on this year's season and improvements for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Public comments received will be used to develop options and recommendations for the Washington and Oregon fish and wildlife commissions to consider at their December meetings.
The meeting will be held 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the ODFW office located in Clackamas at 17330 S.E. Evelyn Street.
For more information, contact Patrick Frazier in Clackamas at (503) 657-2000 Ext. 253 or Brad James in Vancouver at (360) 906-6716.
