Fish and Wildlife Commission to meet in executive session during regular meeting in Salem 
2004 big game tag allocation and 2005 big game hunting regulations also on agenda

SALEM - The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will in executive session Friday, May 14, in Salem as part of its regular meeting. 

The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission is the policy-making body for fish and wildlife issues in the state. The seven-member panel meets monthly. The meeting will occur in the Commission Room of the ODFW headquarters building located at 3406 Cherry Ave. N.E. in Salem. 

During executive session, the Commission will discuss confidential attorney-client privileged documents relating to the Pelton-Round Butte hydroelectric case settlement with its legal counsel, as authorized by ORS 192.660(2)(f) and the National Wildlife Federation v. National Marine Fisheries Service (NWF v. NMFS) litigation as authorized by ORS 192.660(2)(h). No decisions will be made in executive session.

The official meeting of the Commission will begin at 8 a.m. and proceed through the agenda in order. The following items are scheduled:

·	Director's report on regional ODFW activities, 2005 legislative concepts, wildlife areas long range plans, Wolf Conservation Plan, U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy, 2005-07 budget development, and temporary rules;
·	Revenue and expenditure report;
·	Approval of Fish Restoration and Enhancement projects;
·	Approval of 23 appointments to the Commercial Fisheries Permit Board; 
·	Adoption of final order in contested case for a Developmental Fisheries Permit case; 
·	Briefing on preliminary options on 2005-06 groundfish management;
·	Approval of Wolf Advisory Committee membership appointments; and
·	Briefing on 2004-05 big game hunting regulations.

Public testimony will be taken on each agenda item. For all agenda items, sign-up sheets to testify will be provided at the meeting. Most agenda items are posted to ODFW's Web site in advance of the meeting at: http://www.dfw.state.or.us/Comm/schedule.htm.

Persons seeking to testify for up to five minutes on other issues not on the formal agenda may do so by making arrangements at least 24 hours in advance. "Unscheduled testimony" must be arranged by calling Katie Thiel, ODFW Director's Office, at 503-947-6044. Unscheduled testimony will occur around 1 p.m. and is limited to about six speakers. Currently, two speakers are expected.
