TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: OPEN SEATS IN DRILLED SHAFT FOUNDATION INSPECTOR

ODOT has several open seats in the Drilled Shaft Foundation Inspector
training scheduled for January 6-8, 2009. The goal of the course is to
provide drilled shaft foundation inspectors with practical knowledge and
standard industry practices for the inspection of drilled shaft
foundation construction. This course is designed to be of most benefit
to foundation inspectors, who are responsible for or involved in
providing inspection of drilled shafts during construction. 

This course provides a basis for qualification of drilled shaft
foundation inspectors through successfully passing an exam. A two-hour
exam will be administered on the third day of the course. After
successful completion of the course and the associated exam, the
participant will be certified as a Drilled Foundation Inspector. The
certification is good for 5 years.
