The Central Materials Laboratory, in union with Information Systems Transportation Application Development, has been working on improving the distribution of Lab Reports to our customers. These improvements take effect today and include two main areas: * Improvements to the internal process involved with sending and posting Laboratory Reports. Customers that have previously received Lab Reports via email will now receive a link to the document instead of an attachment in their email. * Improvements to the on-line capabilities to allow more effective search and retrieval capabilities for our customers. The Materials Lab Internet site containing links to historical Lab Reports is being replaced by IBM P8 FileNet solution. Lab Reports can now be searched using key criteria using a web search application. Below is a link to the new online Lab Report page. Also attached to this email is a short user document. Please take a few minutes to explore the capabilities of the improved online version. < https://keiko36.odot.state.or.us/whalecomfa2b1917adbf61268f1a5795b780242 187/whalecom0/Workplace> If you have questions please let me know. The intent of this tech bulletin is to set standards for all future installations of drainage markers for culverts. Installing drainage markers is NOT mandatory and there is NO expectation that existing drainage markers are required to immediately be removed and replaced. It is hoped new markers will be installed as new STIP projects are able to include this work within their scope and budget. There is currently no separate funding source for installing drainage markers. A separate effort is underway to develop signing standards for Storm Water Facilities (SW) and Special Management Areas (SMA's). Paul R.
