Kick off the new year right and join us for the Region 1 January Bridge presentation by Janet Oatney, “Roughened Rock Toes-An Alternative to Rip Rap Revetments.” The presentation will highlight how innovative use of Roughened Rock Toes - a biotechnical approach to protecting bridges from erosion, embankment failure and scour of critical structural elements-combined with plantings can provide a high level of protection to bridge components and habitat value.
The bulk of the remarks will focus on:
・ In‐water construction techniques
・ Logistics for a recent bridge repair project
