TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MANAGER (ESCM) CERTIFICATION TRAINING

training opportunity:

ODOT has scheduled an "Erosion and Sediment Control Manager (ESCM)
Certification Training" for February 7th.  The purpose of this training
is to review the responsibilities of an ESCM on ODOT construction
projects as required by the Oregon Standard Specifications for
Construction.  This certification training assesses knowledge in the
Fundamentals of Erosion and Sediment Controls required to comply with
Section 280 and applicable regulatory requirements through a process of
class room instruction and testing.

It is strongly recommended that you have knowledge of erosion control
theory and how to implement temporary and permanent measures on highway
projects before you take this class.  There will be questions on the
ESCM certification exam about these topics that will not be provided to
participants in the ESCM training.  ODOT scheduled an "Erosion And
Sediment Control Fundamentals" training on February 6th that you can
attend to gain this knowledge.

Hours for both training classes are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Location for
the training is Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon.
