TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MANAGER (ESCM) CERTIFICATION TRAINING

Oregon Standard Specifications Section 280 requires contractors to provide an Erosion and Sediment Control Manager (ESCM) on a project.  In order to meet these requirements, ODOT is providing the following training:
Erosion and Sediment Control Fundamentals - This training provides knowledge of temporary and permanent erosion and sediment control measures on highway construction projects to minimize/prevent erosion.  Classes are scheduled for January 22, 2013 in Eugene and February 12, 2013 in Portland.
Erosion and Sediment Control Manager Certification - This certification assesses knowledge in the Fundamentals of Erosion and Sediment Control required by Section 280 and applicable regulatory requirements through a process of class room instruction and testing.  This currently is an interim certification good for 2 years.  Classes are scheduled for January 23, 2013 in Eugene and February 13, 2013 in Portland.
