The purpose of the Bridge Design Conference is to: * Disseminate the latest Bridge Design Requirements in the State of Oregon; * Foster information exchanged and networking between ODOT, Local and Other Governmental Agencies, and Consultants, on subjects of current interest to the bridge design community; * Provide an opportunity for the Bridge Design Community in the State of Oregon to obtain Professional Development Hours (PDH's). This year's Conference includes an opening session covering: Resilient Oregon Plan; ODOT Bridge Phase 2 Seismic Retrofit Project; Oregon City Arch - Historical Perspective; and Rehabilitation of the Historic Oregon City Arch OR43. Other topics covered during the two days are steel bridges, accelerated bridge construction, bridge rehabilitation, unique projects and issues, geotechnical and substructure issues, and the Sellwood Bridge. The conference is scheduled for May 14th - 15th. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Location for the conference is Chemeketa Community College's NW Viticulture Center (Eola) in Salem.
