This year's Access Management Workshop continues training on changes to the 2012 access management rules (OAR 734-051) by providing technical guidance and opportunities to share case studies and lessons learned. It will introduce changes required by SB 408, which takes effect on January 1, 2014. This bill changes the status of many existing highway connections; and changes how ODOT manages access to highways through permitting, facility planning and project delivery. Both classes are located in Salem. Class hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for each class. Oregon Standard Specifications Section 280 requires contractors to provide an Erosion and Sediment Control Manager (ESCM) on a project. In order to meet these requirements, ODOT is providing "Erosion and Sediment Control Manager Certification (ESCM) Training." This currently is an interim certification good for 2 years. For people who have had no previous erosion control training, it is strongly recommended that they also enroll in ODOT Erosion and Sediment Control Fundamentals training.
