From odot_ae_consultant_info at listsmart.osl.state.or.us Wed Mar 7 14:30:03 2018 From: odot_ae_consultant_info at listsmart.osl.state.or.us (ODOT Info - A&E Consultants) Date: Wed, 7 Mar 2018 22:30:03 +0000 Subject: Update to BrM and ODOT Bridge Inspection Reports Web Application Message-ID: Good Afternoon, Please share the following information with others in the Bridge Community we may have missed. NEW VERSION OF BrM 5.2.3 AND REWRITTEN BRIDGE INSPECTION (PONTIS) REPORTS WILL BE INSTALLED AND AVAILABLE AT END OF MARCH A Project Team from the Bridge Engineering unit has been working with the Transportation Application Development (TAD) group for the last 5 months to get ready to install a new version of the BrM application (5.2.3) and to rewrite the Bridge Inspection reports to be compatible with this new version of BrM and its database. The newly rewritten BrM Reports application (formerly called PONTIS Reports) will have the same reports and functionality as the current Reports with some additional features added. Later this month, we will be sending you some helpful "TIPS" for filtering and creating each of the reports. Due to changes in the file naming conventions and folder structure, there may be some delay in gaining access to timber boring diagrams and other supplemental reports. The new BrM application and the new BrM Reports will be installed at the end of March. We are planning on closing down the application and the reports starting on March 26th and reopening on March 30th. We will update you again closer to these dates to ensure this timeframe is still valid. The BrM Application, its accompanying database, and the newer BrM Reports will be moving to new hardware servers, too, so we will be sending out the new URL link as the old one you have been using will not work after the installation and with the move to the new servers. The external users of the BrM Reports, which includes consultants, contractors, and other state and local agency representatives, will be getting new Login Id's and temporary passwords. This will be sent to each of the external users in an email close to the end of March. The current ODOT users of BrM and PONTIS Reports (now called BrM Reports) will continue to use your current ODOT User Id and password. Please contact Joseph Bond or Bruce Novakovich if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you, Bruce V.
