[OEBBSUPERINFO] OEBB -- Proposed Rules Filing Notice

The Oregon Educators Benefit Board filed the following proposed rules
with the Secretary of State on October 15, 2010:

 

Division 10 - Definitions - Includes rule amendments needed to respond
to the new rescission of coverage provisions and expanded eligibility
for dependent children under age 26 under the federal Health Care Reform
Act.

 

Division 30 - Plan Design Development and Selection - Establishes
benefit selection criteria and premium rate structure selection process
and limitations in rule, which previously existed in policy. Long Term
Care language added.

 

Division 40 - Enrollment, Active Eligible Employees - Includes rule
amendments that are needed to respond to the new rescission of coverage
provisions and the expanded eligibility for dependent children under age
26 under federal Health Care Reform Act. Long Term Care language added.

 

Division 50 - Continuation of Coverage - Includes rule amendments that
are needed to respond to the new rescission of coverage provisions of
the federal Health Care Reform Act on coverages continued under COBRA
and early retiree plans. Long Term Care language added.

 

Division 70 - HB 2557 - Includes rule amendments that are needed to
respond to the new rescission of coverage provisions of the federal
Health Care Reform Act as they relate to the coverage available to
part-time community college and higher education employees eligible for
coverage under HB 2557 (2009).

 

A public hearing on these rules will be held on November 22, 2010, at
10:00 a.m. in the OEBB Boardroom at the DAS General Services Building,
1225 Ferry Street SE, Salem, Oregon.

All public comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on November
30, 2010 to be considered during the rulemaking process. Any comments
received after November 30, 2010 will not be reviewed or considered by
the OEBB unless the OEBB decides to extend the public comment period to
everyone.
