Good afternoon, everyone:
Please mark your calendars for the Columbia Gorge Bi-State Renewable Energy Zone Legislative Summit, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Maryhill Museum in the Columbia River Gorge. Lunch will be catered by the museum cafe. Columbia Gorge Bi-State Renewable Energy Zone (CG-BREZ) represents five counties and other public partners from Oregon and Washington. Its mission is to encourage development of renewable energy and clean technology at appropriate locations in the Columbia River Gorge and adjoining counties.

The purpose of this legislative summit will be to:
1) Foster awareness of available resources to assist renewable energy development in the region
2) Provide an overview of CG-BREZ and express appreciation to lawmakers for their continuing guidance
3) Provide an update on recent activities, including CG-BREZ presence at Windpower 2009 in Chicago and Windpower 2010 in Dallas
4) Review regional innovation cluster concept for the Columbia River Gorge
5) Identify additional opportunities for regional networking to promote economic development through renewable energy

We hope you'll be able to join us for this annual summit. Long-term success of the CG-BREZ mission depends upon bi-state coordination and guidance from our state and federal partners.

We invite your RSVP by 5 p.m. June 10. To RSVP, please contact Mid-Columbia Economic Development District, (541) 296-2266, or e-mail amanda at mcedd.org

Sincerely,

Amanda Remington - Mid-Columbia Economic Development District
