OREGON ENERGY PLANNING COUNCIL TO
MEET JUNE 9
The Oregon Energy Planning
Council (OEPC) will meet on June 9 in Portland to continue its work looking at
the State’s future energy needs and analyzing the issues involved in meeting
those needs. The 11-member Council, appointed by Governor Kulongoski, is
charged with providing analysis, advice and assistance on energy planning.
The agenda includes
presentations on Oregon’s energy facility siting process and discussion on a
concept paper related to siting new transmission corridors. The paper was
authored by Paul Hoobyar, a consultant hired to facilitate the work of the
OPEC.
The meeting is open
to the public and will be held at World Trade Center Portland, 121 SW Salmon
St., Sky Bridge A and B, Portland.
The chair of OEPC
is Ron Adams, Dean of the Oregon State University College of Engineering. There
are 10 other voting members and 12 ex-officio (non-voting) members. The
