The Facebook group "Cash Mob La Grande Oregon" was created so the "mobbers"
could weigh in on which business to mob next.  Then it is announced a few
days prior on the group's page when and where the Cash Mob will take place;
we have done ours once a week, on different days and times.

I'm sure in that case we'll talk to the business owner to see what they'd
prefer, but most likely they won't be open. So we'll probably just have the
program become the 20/21 program for a month.

We're using word of mouth, e-mail blasts, the local paper and Facebook to
get the word out. Any suggestions on improvement would be greatly
appreciated!

How are you getting the word out?

What are you going to do in May when the 20th is on a Sunday? Or are your
shops open Sundays?

The Dalles Main Street Program is doing our own spin on the cash mob idea,
with a recurring effort we call our "20/20 Program," where we use any
promotion avenues we have to encourage people to spend $20 at a particular
business on the 20th of the month. Today is our 2nd day-last month, with no
lead time and almost no promotion, the business owner reported more than
double her normal sales for that day.
