You may want to be aware that Bandon's Main Street Program (Greater Bandon Association) was one of nine participants to develop a proposal for the Oregon Wealthworks Construction grant. This was a statewide, nationwide competition for one award to support a wealth building value chain. Its a $375,000 two grant supported by the Ford Family Foundation, Meyer Memorial Trust, Northwest Area Foundation, The University of Oregon, The Oregon Prosperity Initiative and Oregon State University Extension Service. And, yes, ours was the successful application. So we are off and running.

Why do I mention it? Our project grant focuses on development of a tri-county Regional Food Processing and Distribution Chain
Infrastructure System that builds wealth locally here in Coos, Curry and Douglas counties.
