[Willamette Valley Open Burning Announcement]

SUBJECT:        OPEN BURNING ANNOUNCEMENT

FROM:           ODF METEOROLOGIST

Burning advisory for: Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

NOTE:  The National Weather Service has issued an Air Stagnation Advisory
For the greater Portland/Vancouver areas, central and southern Willamette
Valley, the lower Columbia, and the I-5 Corridor in Cowletz County, Wa.

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations agricultural burning is not recommended.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Backyard burning is not allowed from Dec 16th through Feb 29th.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
