TO: HR Directors
The State recently reached agreement with AFSCME concerning the three
agencies that failed to ratify the August 16, 2007 tentative agreement.
Part of the settlement package was a selective salary adjustment for
Registered Sanitarians and Hydro geologists.
The Labor Relations Unit would like to know if other agencies are
utilizing either of these two groups of specialists.
Please identify employees who are required to be Registered Sanitarians,
or Hydro geologists, and report those to Tom Perry as soon as possible.
We need to know the number of employees, their names, their current
classifications and their salary ranges, as well as any special pay or
differentials they are receiving that are related to their work. While
we believe most of the individuals who might be working in either of
these two specialties would be represented by SEIU, please do not limit
your inquiry to represented employees only; if you have unrepresented
employees or managers, we would like to know that, too.
