[OPEUreppms] Extra Step LOA for SEIU Strike Permitted and Strike Prohibited Agencies

Attached you will find the SEIU LOA on the additional step signed on
December 13, 2007 for both Strike Prohibited and Strike Permitted
agencies.  Kris sent the message below out when AFSCME reached agreement
but SEIU's agreement was not attached; therefore we are sending you a
copy of the LOA signed by SEIU.  Implementation provision is addressed
in the LOA.  My apologies for neglecting to attach the LOA's.

RE:                   Union Agreements Reached 12/13/07

 

Late last night, the state reached agreement with three units of AFSCME
that had not ratified including DEQ, State Fire Marshall's Office, and
OLCC.  There are still some units at the Department of Corrections that
have not finalized negotiations and/or may be going into interest
arbitration.  Discussions will continue with those units into next week.
In addition to the agreements, the state also signed Letters of
Agreement with AFSCME and SEIU offering an additional step, as well as
dropping the 1st step on June 30, 2009.  Our intention is to make
similar offers to the other labor organizations Monday next week.  

 

I am attaching the press release that has gone out, a frequently asked
questions and answer document, as well as an example of the LOA that we
signed for the add/drop step on June 30, 2009.  Sue Wilson will be
sending similar information through the HR list serve.  Please let us
know if you have any questions/concerns.
