[or-roots] Once a busy list

I have a theory. Replies only go to the originator unless you click 'Reply
All' thus leaving only the original message and none of the follow-up. I
was thinking that a while back 'Reply' went to the list.

I have been playing with a journal from 1826. Chronicles the journal of a
Hudson Bay Express from York Factory on Hudson Bay to Fort Vancouver on the
Columbia. "Journal of a Voyage Across the Continent of North America in
1826", by Emelius Simpson. Sure blows holes in some assumptions.

ly1826.html

It starts the 14th of July 1826 at York Factory and ends in November 1826 at
Fort Vancouver. Long winded son of a gun. I have been working on this
long enough that the original micro film went back to Manitoba. I have
gotten to the beginning of September and into what is now Alberta.

Found some cousins recently and proof that John McKay came through York
Factory in 1829 rather than around the horn.
