There is no record that Buck ever served as Mayor of Oregon City.

Harding, (Lake Oswego, OR : Oregon Family Publishing, 1988)

The City of Oregon City's City Recorder has a nice list of past Mayors,
and it agrees nicley with the published work. Buck is also not in her
list from 1900 on.
