    I am not searching Gleasons    but     My grandfather's middle name is Gleason and I have never figured out why.
    You also name Smiths.   Well my grandfather's mother was Ellice Smith.   She married James Twombly in Lee, Penobscot County, Maine.  They first went to Pennsylvania, then Minnesota then to Oregon.  Lincoln County.
    Suppose we have a connection in there somewhere?
