I am trying to help my friend.
His mother was Leona Ruth Bonney of Woodburn, Marion, OR.
Leona was born to Edith M. Moffett and Hartley Harrison Bonney
on 26 Jun 1909 in Woodburn, OR.
Edith M. Moffett was born 26 Mar 1884 in Hutchinson, MN.
Hartley Harrison Bonney was born 25 Jan 1882 in Woodburn, OR.
Hartley's father was George F. Bonney and
his father was Bradford Sherman Bonney and
his father was Dr. Truman Augustus Bonney.
Leona had one sister: Neale Bonney, b. 1909, d. 2001.
Edith Moffett Bonney died in 1945, Hartley died in 1954.
Leona married Henry John Aicher in about 1930.
They had a son: James Hartley Aicher, b. 14 Dec 1930.
Henry John Aicher died 27 Jul 1932.
She left the baby with her parents who adopted him.
Leona married Richard William Starr bef 1934.
They had a son: Le Roy Gene Starr in 1934 in Sacramento, CA.
Richard W. Starr changed the baby's name to Jerome Paul Starr.
Leona left Jerome Paul Starr at "The German Home," an orphanage in Oakland,
CA in 1938/1939.
Leona had Lora Lee Starr abt 1939, we think she was adopted by the doctor
that delivered her in CA.
Leona married Albert Clausen bef 1945.
Leona Ruth Bonney Aicher Starr Clausen died 16 Mar 1945 in Alameda, CA.
Leona, Neale, Edith and Hartley are buried in Belle Passi Cemetery in
Woodburn.
Are there any Moffett's or Bonney's out there that have any knowledge or
information about this family or pictures?
Would any of them like to email their distant 'cousin'?
Jerry never knew he had any family, his father's family is all in PA, he
thought his mother's family was the Aicher's and could never make the connection.
He is a Bonney.
I do have obituaries for Leona, Edith, Hartley Bonney and Henry John Aicher
and his father, Joseph Aicher -- if anyone would like a copy, I will share.
Thank You. Kathie Adair
