[or-roots] Weather situation in Salem OR area?

I am on the phone with my sister in Salem.  She says it is down to 30
degrees, with six inches of snow and an inch of ice on top of that.

Earlier she said the icicles were dripping when the sun was out but stopped
when it went behind a cloud.

Only the small birds could get to the feeders because of the icicles.  All
sizes preferred the squirrel feeder because it was completely protected from
the ice. [A gallon glass jar set in a stand.]

The power went out about 4:30PM.

At least this time the house was warm when the power went out so she should
stay warm longer.
