[or-roots] Weather situation in Salem OR area?

I'm glad I haven't lived in Salem since 1975. The last ice storm
when I was living there was in 1971. Still mindful of very thick
ice on twigs on trees and very difficult trying to walking across
school campus.

I prefer snow blizzards anytime to ice storms.
