Us too, I dug the old Chevy out, it was under a few inches of ice , has not been used over 3 months as it was for sale but is the only rig we have with snow tires on , it started right up so I was able to get in for dog food , its to cold for animals to run out of food , I got the dogs off the cold ground and all the cats are allowed in and out even those who we usually dont let in. No house pet type animal should be left out in this cold.
Well our trees sorta were squashed with the ice, I went out and knocked the ice off the branches that I could reach , most had already cracked 2 ornamental plum and 1 dog wood, but they are better now.
Snow plow went buy late afternoon, now that part of the road is smooth and very slick right now.
I did not see any tracks to the mail boxes so I guess there was no mail running today, no school , the bank opened part of the day, the pet store was open and we also went to the store and Bi Mart.
  Stayton is slick.
Happy Seasons
