[or-roots] Next comes floods????

We are just east of Bend [ -1 yesterday morning, 48 yesterday afternoon.]
and the freezing rain that they said MIGHT come actually arrived.
Anything above ground is doing fine but the roadway and the walks have not
warmed enough to handle the rain. The thermometer says 32-33 but the walk
and the road are a sheet of ice. The deck has liquid water and the eaves
are dripping water.
At least this is NOT our 4th day of this. Should be fine by the time I have
to leave home.
I remember the Prineville flood. One of the animal rescue groups borrowed
all of our animal carriers. They were trying to save as many of the flood
displaced animals as possible. The neighbor's kid was living down by the
river. They did not have renters insurance and lost everything when they
ended up with mud a foot deep in the trailer.

Yes Barbara next comes floods, I just hope we don't have like we did in 1998
here in Prineville, that was so horrible. I tok so many pics and video of
that flooding and after math of the cleanup, it is still hard to look at
with out falling apart.
Thank you for the web page of the weather report for Ore and Wash.. that is
cool. My family lives in Albany and they have been
keeping me updated but this also helps
the last bad snow I can remember in Portland was in 1959 when I lived there.
there was alot of drifting and Dad & My husband would go and help people
through the drifts and etc. we lived on SE 77th St off of Johnson Creek rd,
I can remember that creek used to really raise and cause alot of heartache
for people.
It is really melting here this morning, in fact it has been all night,
it was 40 here all night till early this morning, and it is still kust 36,
so it has warmed up so much, compared to the 2 degrees we had yesterday
morning...
Mother Nature has slowed us down. that is for sure..
You all have a warmer day,
Rosalie...
