The Coos County histories that I have cover the early pioneers in Coos County.
    A Century of Coos and Curry by Emil Peterson and Alfred Powers (1952)
    Pioneer History of Coos and Curry Counties by Orvil Dodge, Historian (about 1898 and 2nd edition in 1969)

I checked the indexes and there is no information of Eugene Edgar Melvin, John Melvin, nor Doris and Charles Ross.

  My Grandfather Eugene Edgar Melvin lived in south Coos Bay, Oregon.  I believe him and his wife and a daughter (Doris & Charles Ross) lived in the Coos Bay area and Son (John Melvin) who lived in the North Bend area from 1948 till about 1977.

  As a child I reminder my grandfather donating 10 gallons of blood.  He was retired and did some painting plus sharpting saws.

  Any information you might have or any suggestion as to what or where I might go for more information would be greatly appreciated.
