[or-roots] Smelt run in the Sandy River

  HI:

  I can also recall the "Pink" salmon.  We used to have fish and jacks for
breakfast.  Where the old saw mill was, down the road was a
  large two story log home.  My father was
  caretaker there circa '34-'35.  It was still there in 1970.  The owner was
perplexed
  with several cedar stumps.  I was there when the trees were felled.
