I am not descended from the Barnes family, but from the Marks family.  Our 
common ancestor would be Benjamin Marks, born either in Antrim, Ireland, or 
Virginia.  Benjamin was the father of Bluford and Isaac Marks.  Bluford was my 
ancestor and Isaac would be your ancestor, then, through his daughter Genevra 
(Marks) Barnes.

So, since Benjamin is my GGG-grandfather, that would make us about 4th 
cousins, wouldn't it?
