Midge,

I am not descended from George and Genevra Barnes.  I am a Marks (or would 
have been had my father not assumed his stepfather's surname), descended from a 
line of Genevra (Marks) Barnes' cousins.

All this Barnes information is interesting to me, though.  I get the picture 
that the lives of those very early settlers in the area were very intertwined.
