Jim,
I downloaded the 1854 survey and the 1862 Survey of the area where Ebenezer
Homesteaded. His homestead was somewhere out in the area between what is now
Milwaukie OR and Sandy OR. I have a map program that lets me plug in
latitude and longitude to find a location. The numbers with degrees and
minutes on the drawings bear no relation to current latitude ond longitude
numbers. I can e-mail you the two maps directly but they are 1,600 kb and
2,400 kb each. Here are the two links that I used to find the maps.

get the available online land patentdetails. You may already have that info.
