[or-roots] A QUESTION OF IGNORANCE

 Hi Bob....
To do a GEDCOM file... if you want to put it on a disk, like the
little one in drive A....
and it depends on the program you are useing too....BUT go to file and
EXPORT.... then it will ask you to name it.. then to put it on disk, put.
A:name of file like A:Smith.ged and it will go to the disk and if your
file is a big one it will ask you to put disk two in and then ok...
REMEMBER to put on the disk the name and #1 or what ever if you have more
than one...

some files you may want to just do part of the database... then you have to
select the ones you want.. and then you go to the earliest
ancestor and do descendants and spouses.. all will come off..
it is cool to do..

Hope this helps..More questions will be glad to help...\
