Since you are in Portland, have you tried going to the court system? Since
you are a relative and you could demonstrate your harmless intent it seems
like they would probably at least answer some questions for you, even if
they wouldn't let you see his records. Further since he is undoubtedly
retired, I would think his records might very easily be a matter of public
record, even in the posession of the historical society or some such?

Anyone have suggestions on finding Records of A relative who was a judge in
Multnomah County in the early 1900's
(IE: About 1914-1917) I have not been able to come up with information on
my father's Aunt and her husband Judge Robert G. Morrow and Spouse Lizzie
(Zoe) (Perrine) Robie.
Information on judges is required I believe to be keep secret to protect
their families.
