You might be a bit disappointed if you visited. There is a Porn shop almost
directly across the highway from it now and 101 is four lanes there and
takes up almost all the ground except a small parking lot. It doesn't seem
like a very friendly place for a grade school; I think the district is
considering closing it because of those problems, but I cn't remember what
the decision was. All of the area is much changed. Many fewer mills, mostly
Coos Bay is for exporting raw material to Japan, gambling at the Tribal
Casino that is in one of the buildings that used to be a Mill just over the
city limits into North Bend and shopping, they have Wal Mart, Freddies,
Staples most of the rest of SW Oregon is lucky if they still have a Safeway
and a gas Station in town.

Ah - North Bend - now there is someplace I haven't been forever! I went to
grade school there - Bunker Hill Elementary to be precise.
