In what way are you related to Joe Meek?.
Joe Meek, Robert Newell, and My GG Grandfather William Craig were trappers and Mountain men together and I have information that some of there children had married into each others families, so there is a possibility that I may be related also to Joe Meek.
Also have you read the book River of The West by Francis Fuller Victor it is from an interview with Joe Meek.
