Yep, I though there was a connection : ) It's My McCubbins with your Bilyeu
s.

My g-g-grandfather & my g-g-g-grandfather came from Franklin Co., Missouri
to Oregon in 1852 & took up DLC at Howell's Prairie/Silverton & Lebanon OR &
so did all of James McCubbin's sons, then the sons Samuel
(gg-grandfather)brother: Zachariah..& others all went to Dayton WA. & lived
& died there. That's where my grandfather Delmar Samuel Flanagan was born &
my mother Betty Jean. My Grandfather's mother was Samuel McCubbin's daughter
Elva Rose McCubbins. Elva's mother & wife to Samuel was: Sarah Ellen Stevens


William Richmond & Nancy (Bilyeu) McCubbins came with James McCubbins &
family same time. 
I do believe but have not proven for sure yet, that William is brother to my
James. There is a connection.
James McCubbins born about 1813 in Virginia. William is definitely related.
(Same McCubbins Clan)

I am still searching for the grave of James, no luck at all. Died: Sept. 6,
1877 in North Salem, Marion Co., OR.

James lost a daughter (Rachel) on the trail to Oregon in: 1852 & his wife
China may have died on the trail too, not sure, or she may have died in
Missouri before leaving for Oregon. She gave birth to her last child with
James in: 1849 Franklin Co., Missouri.

son of Tryntje Barrents.  Nancy was married twice. m 1.John Smithers 1818 in
 MO.  m 2.  William Richmond Mccubbin 18 Sept 1842 in MO.
 
My Line iis Lucinda Bilyeu b 16 Mar 1828-d. 30 Jul1904, Albany OR. She is
burried in the Masonic Cemetary , Albany, OR, She was the Daughter of
William M. Bilyeu and Diannah Coker, She was married to John Bryant. Lucinda
was my gg Grand mother.

Are you the same Bilyeu family? Maybe yours is different spelling? Not sure
if we have communicated in the past, I forgot right off. My McCubbins family
live Howell's Prairie/Silverton and Lebanon, Oregon came in 1852.

Well, just to change the subject:
Prowling through my files I've found my ggGrandmother, Lucinda Bilyew (other
spellings Billiu, etc.) Looking further there is a whole nest of Bilyews.
most all show up in Scio Oregon or there abouts.  There are notes of A
Bilyew danish? Cemetary in/near Scio. Anyone have any info on this Family
Line? I've done the Roots web and Mormon stuff.
Also Lucinda's daughter was Susan Bryant  (my gGrand mother) Susan's Father
was John Bryant. I'm trying to follow that line back but can't find John's
father.
Anyone have any thing on the Bryant Line? John was born  1827 in VA an died
abt 1903. He was in or around Lebanon, OR. He had a DLC after 1852.
