Clyde,
Of the three possible locations for the homestead only, Imbler would
actually be along the river. The legal description of the "homestead"
found on the BLM-GLO site suggests another choice, that of 12 miles
upstream from La Grande near the mouth of Bear Creek. To get there, go
towards Pendleton on the interstate, but get off at Hilgard and travel
about 5800 meters upstream.
